What we collect

When you use PatchWork, we process the error data your application sends to our ingestion endpoint. This includes:

Chrome extension data

The PatchWork Chrome extension collects additional data when you submit an error report. This data is transmitted to our server and forwarded to your Slack channel. It includes:

The extension stores your preferences (enabled/disabled state, auto-open setting) locally on your device using chrome.storage. This data is never transmitted off your device.

The extension does not download or execute any remote code. All scripts are bundled locally at build time.

We do not collect passwords, payment card details, or any data beyond what is described above.

How we use your data

Your error data is used solely to:

Data retention

Error report data is processed in transit and forwarded to Slack. It is not persisted to a database on our server. You can request deletion of any data at any time by contacting arunet008@gmail.com.

Third-party services

We integrate with Slack, Microsoft Teams, GitHub, and GitLab using their official OAuth APIs. We only request the minimum scopes required to post messages and create pull requests. We do not sell or share your data with any third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

AI processing

When you click "Analyse with AI", your error context is sent to our AI model for analysis. This data is not used to train models and is not retained after the analysis is delivered. We use end-to-end encryption for all data in transit.

Security

All communication with PatchWork is encrypted via TLS 1.3. API keys are hashed at rest. We follow industry-standard practices for access control, logging, and incident response.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. If you're based in the EU, you may exercise your rights under GDPR. For requests, email arunet008@gmail.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notification. Continued use of PatchWork after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
